2.4 Deployment Architecture Models and Component Versions

A first step in using WebCDC is to identify the Deployment Architecture mode that is to be configured. WebCDC supports the configuration of different types of OpenScape deployment architectural models. The models that may be configured are available on the selection list of WebCDC Start page:
•
Standard Solution
This option covers the configuration of a Standard Solution based deployment of OpenScape products. This is also known as the Reference Architecture solution. It is possible to create functional Standard Solution deployments using only few of the Basic tabs.
•
Standard Solution / vApp.
Same as Standard Solution but the target system is virtual appliance based.
•
OpenScape Enterprise Express
This option is for OpenScape Enterprise Express deployments. Complete configurations of OpenScape Enterprise Express deployments can be prepared using this option and few of the Basic tabs.
NOTE:  From V7 and forward, all deployments of OpenScape Enterprise Express are virtual appliances.
Next a UC Deployment Architecture must be specified. The following options are available:
•
NO UC
•
Integrated Simplex
•
Standard Duplex - Small
•
Standard Duplex - Large
•
Standard Duplex - Very Large
NOTE:  See the UC Planning Guide for specifics of each deployment option, e.g. number of supported users, servers, etc.
Once the deployment model information is specified, the next step is to define the OpenScape versions of the major components of the deployment. This is also available on the Start tab and the fields are the following:

OpenScape Voice version
•
RG8700 version
•
OpenScape UC App version
•
OpenScape Branch version
•
OpenScape SBC version
•
Xpressions version
•
Contact Center version
•
Concierge version
•
Delta generation
