Progress Window
This window is used to display the progress of the WebCDC device configuration file(s) generation. Once a generate configuration file command is executed via
Generate Config
button, the WebCDC displays a
Generation choice
window that allows the user to selectively omit certain configuration file types from the generation process that is about to execute if desired / necessary. Clicking the
OK
button on this window continues the configuration generation.
The
Progress window
will then display real-time progress checkpoints during the configuration file generation process which indicate for example which file is currently being generated.
If WebCDC encounters an error during the generation it outputs a message that advises the nature of the problem, e.g. a specific tab, column and row with an incorrect data type. In this case the window provides only a
Stop
button. The user must record / note the error information and then click the
Stop
button. WebCDC will halt the generation at the current failed step. The user should investigate the error, make the necessary correction and may then execute the configuration file(s) generation again.
A successful generation always results in a dialog window that indicates the success status.
