4.19 Breakout Endpoints Tab

NOTE:  This tab is only displayed when the Breakout strategy field on the General tab is set to Customized.
A breakout endpoint is an endpoint where traffic enters the PSTN network. Managing the breakout endpoints for all the sites within the deployment is done via a ’Breakout Matrix’ concept. The default population of the Breakout Matrix is according to the settings Central Gateway and Backup Gateway for Local Gateway in the Site tab. This tab allows the breakout configuration to be modified so that the parameters Central Gateway and Backup Gateway for Local Gateway in the Site tab no longer apply. The can be useful to allow users at a site to breakout to the PSTN via a more cost effective breakout gateway located in another site.
The Breakout Matrix is a two dimensional matrix and is organized by columns representing each Site. For each Site designated by a Site Name it is possible to designate in successive horizontal rows the separate breakout endpoints for Local, National, and International traffic. Additionally, a Backup Endpoint may be supplied.
For each Site Name (column) the following Breakout Endpoint information may be managed:
Breakout Endpoint - This is the endpoint where traffic will go into the PSTN network. The cells below in the column indicate which traffic will come from the other site or from a country. If a whole country needs to break out then enter the country code instead of the site name.
