The Import HiPath 4000 REGEN option can be accessed by clicking on the button with the name of the currently open project. It is used to import configuration data from an existing OpenScape 4000 installation to populate WebCDC’s configuration tabs. The data may then be filtered and sorted as needed.The data from the OpenScape 4000 that is of most importance is the subscriber data. Once this data is imported into the WebCDC, additional configuration information is entered via other WebCDC basic tabs to complete the additional OpenScape configuration data necessary to migrate the OpenScape 4000 subscribers, MLHGs, and CPUs to the target OpenScape deployment. For example, OpenScape 4000 routing information cannot be adapted/mapped to OpenScape use, so it must be supplied to WebCDC manually as in any typical greenfield case.
