9 RG 8700 Configuration Files

The following files contain all required data to configure the RG 8700 gateway:

The A-law and mu-law codec setting are automatically filled in by WebCDC on basis of the country code of the RG 8700 gateway.

How to Import the RG8700 config files into the Gateway:

Using FTP transfer the files mentioned above to the RG 8700 gateway.

IMPORTANT: Transfer the files to the RG8700 gateway in BINARY mode, otherwise script execution will fail.

Open a telnet session to the RG8700 system and run the following command:

execute /ad0/tmp/<gwname>_config1.txt

Reboot the RG 8700 gateway.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remaining two files.

Note: <gwname> should match the "target name" that is entered when initially configuring the RG 8700 via the craft port. In these initial steps the RG 8700 management IP address is also set. For more information, refer to RG 8700, Installation and Maintenance Manual: Volume 1, Installation, Installation Guide.

In order for the RG's FQDNs to be resolved by OSV, route ID name resolution entries should be introduced into the Solution's Main DNS Server or be added at the bottom of /etc/hosts file.

Specific entries can be found at the route ID section of <gwname>_config2.txt:

#Configure Main DNS Server 10.200.100.10 to resolve the following FQDNs or Add them at the end of OSV's etc/hosts file

How to create and upload certificates to allow the RG87XX gateway to successfully register and communicate with the OSV:

Copy the following certificates:

/usr/local/ssl/certs/root.pem

–

/usr/local/ssl/certs/private/server.pem

–

/usr/local/ssl/certs/private/client.pem

Use the existing dh parameters or generate new ones:

openssl dhparam -check -text -5 1024 -out dh1024.pem

Rename root.pem to CAcert.pem

Transfer all copied *.pem files to the /ad0/data/ssl/certs directory on the RG 8700.
