5 XML Template and XML Profile Configuration Files for DLS server configuration

The <template name>.xml files contains all key layout, server layout, etc. for use in OpenScape Deployment Service (DLS).
All DLS xml template files generated by WebCDC are written into a separate folder called CDC_DLS_Templates.
WebCDC automatically zips together all the generated template files (XML files) and creates a single zip file called "DLS_Templates.zip" ready to be imported into DLS.
How to Import the DLS templates in the Deployment Service server:
1.
On the Deployment Server, go to Deployment Service > Profile Management > Template Overview.
2.
Select Views: Search in upper middle section. The Import Template button should become visible at the bottom right corner.
3.
Click on the Import button.
4.
On the next window, navigate to where the zipped XML DLS templates files are located and select the "DLS_Templates.zip" file.
5.
Click on the Import button.
6.
On next window, click on Select All and then click Open.
7.
Verify that you obtain a "TP0104: Import Successfull" indication from the DLS server when all of the DLS templates have been imported.
 
The <profile name>.xml files, on the other hand, contain all of the different profiles for the different phone types for use in DLS.

How to Import the DLS profiles in the Deployment Service server:
1. On the deployment server, go to Deployment Service > Profile Management > Device Profile.
2. Select Views: Search in upper middle section. The Import Profile button should become visible at the bottom right corner.
3. Click on the Import button.
4. On the next window, navigate to where the zipped XML DLS profile files are located and select the "DLS_Profiles.zip" file.
5. Click on the Import button.
6. On next window, click on Select All and then click on Open.
7. Verify that you obtain a "TP0104: Import Successful|" indication from the DLS server when all of the DLS profiles have been imported.
